For a relaxing day out, Cornville/Page Springs offers wineries and tasting rooms in the midst of some of Arizona’s most pristine scenery. No Verde Valley excursion is complete without a trip to Jerome, “the City in the Sky.” Once designated as a ghost town, Jerome has been renovated and restored to feature mountainside boutiques, artsy villages, and panoramic views of beautiful red-rock scenery. No matter where you go in Verde Valley, awe-striking views and distinct experiences are never far away. 

Verde Valley experiences bright and sunny summers and partly cloudy, mild winters. The dry climate is on par with much of Arizona. The July high in Verde Valley can reach 100°F, while the winter low can fall to 28°F. The Central Arizona area receives an average of 14 inches of rain per year and little to no snowfall. Arizona is also one of the two U.S. states that doesn’t observe Daylight Savings Time.
