CREA

What Listings Are Included in the CREA feed for Canada?

Showcase IDX includes all shared listings from all over Canada in one simple and intuitive search interface. We include active Ontario shared listings from the CREA DDF® National Shared Pool, but not member-only or office-only listings.

For more info about DDF, visit CREA Support

We include active Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island shared listings from the CREA DDF® National Shared Pool, but not any member-only or office-only listings. You will need to authorize your listings for the DDF® National Shared Pool in order for them to be provided in our service.

Note: This does not include Toronto Real Estate Board IDX (TREB), Nova Scotia Association of REALTORS® IDX (NSAR), or other local board IDX reciprocity options such as Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. NSAR often includes more Nova Scotia listings than CREA, with the exception of Annapolis County and Kings County, where CREA generally includes more listings. CREA IDX offers coverage from all over the provinces, and covers many local areas that do not offer standalone RETS/IDX reciprocity feeds for member websites.

Am I eligible for the CREA feed on my site?

  • Your broker must authorize you for the CREA DDF® National Shared Pool.
  • We cannot offer our IDX service to you if your brokerage does not participate in the CREA DDF® National Shared Pool.

The verification and approval process for CREA is fast.

To authorize your listings in the National Shared Pool feed, the Broker of Record would have set permissions to so.

BROKERAGE OWNER — SETTING PERMISSIONS:

1) Go to http://member.realtor.ca
***this will re-direct to the REALTOR Link® login page. If you do not have or know your username and/or password for this, please contact your local board or association directly to request those.
2) Click on ‘My Tools’ at the top right, and then select ‘Data Distribution Facility (DDF®)’.
3) Click on ‘Settings’ on the top left, under the red header ribbon.
4) Click to add a check mark in each desired box to choose where your listing content goes, and thus to allow the brokerage — and each individual agent within it — to create a data feed.
5) Click the ‘Save changes’ button at the bottom.

Please do not hesitate to contact the CREA Member Experience Centre for further assistance with the above!

Requirements for your IDX Solutions

Listing Data IDX (or Broker Reciprocity) is a program that allows MLS Participants to display listings from other brokerages on their own agent and office websites. Simply put, the IDX program manages the listing search utilities on internet displays owned and operated by local agents and offices. The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) created IDX and gives each MLS a strict set of guidelines on participation in the program and the display of the listings. Showcase IDX provides the tools that your clients use to access the listings.
