The defense and tourism industries also make up much of Tucson’s economy.

Tucson has a popularly hot climate, with 350 warm days of the year. Residents of Tucson typically experience two seasons throughout the year: hot summers and mild winters. The average high temperature can rise to 100°F, and the low temperatures only reach around 39°F. The notoriously dry climate allows for an average of just 12 inches of rainfall per year and no snowfall.
