California’s highest point is Mount Whitney at 14,494 feet, and the lowest point is the Badwater Basin in Death Valley National Park, which is also the lowest point in North America.

Chino Hills is known for its beautiful rural environment and high quality of life. The 3,000 acre community is home to 44 parks and 48 miles of trails, while located in close proximity to Los Angeles, Glendale, and other tourist destinations of Southern California. Money ranked Chino Hills as one of the “100 best places to live” in 2019. Chino Hills State Park offers visitors and residents alike the opportunity to enjoy a walk, horseback ride, or a bicycle ride through sixty miles of trails.

For those who are more attracted to city-life, Los Angeles County offers an abundance of things to do and see. Los Angeles is known for its diverse culture, Hollywood entertainment industry, and bustling nightlife. One in every six residents in Los Angeles works in a creative industry, billing it the “Creative Capital of the World”. With much of the culture primarily revolving around the entertainment industry, there is a plethora of museums, galleries, retail destinations, and tourist spots celebrating the city’s role in TV/Films. Aside from the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, Los Angeles is home to eleven professional sports leagues, making it a prime destination for sports-lovers as well. While much of the economy is fueled by the entertainment industry, Los Angeles is also home to three Fortune 500 companies and many of the nation’s largest companies have their headquarters there.

The Southern California area is known for sunny days and very little rain. The summer high is a warm 84°F, while the winter low falls to about 46°F. The sunny cities do not receive much snowfall, if any, and receive an average of 16 inches of rain per year.
