The United States Office of Management and Budget designated Greater Birmingham as Birmingham-Hoover, AL Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the most populous city in the State of Alabama and the 49th metropolitan statistical area (MSA) in the United States.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the state of Alabama has a population of 4,887,871 as of 1st of July, 2018. This makes it the 24th most populous states in the United States of America.
The highest point in the Yellowhammer state is Mount Cheaha standing at a height of 2,413 ft (735 m) followed by Talladega Mountain at 2,346 ft (715 m), Odum Point at 2,342 ft (714 m), Bald Rock at 2,283 ft (696 m) and Parker High Point at 2,188 ft (667 m). Others are Big Caney

Beginning from September to November, the weather is usually cool, which makes it easier to put on light clothes. Severe weather conditions are difficult to come by in Alabama excluding hurricane that occurs in the May to October and tornadoes mostly occurs in the month of March, April & November.
