What are the requirements for primary membership in the MLS and IDX?

The Martin County Realtors of the Treasure Coast follows the NARs guidelines for membership:

Participants must be REALTORS who are a principal, partner, corporate officer, or branch office manager acting on behalf of a principal.

Participants must hold a current, valid real estate broker’s license.

Participants must offer or accept compensation to and from other participants (or be licensed or certified by a state regulatory agency to engage in the appraisal of real property).

Participants (other than appraisers) must actively—continually and on an ongoing basis—endeavor to:

a. list real property of the type listed on the MLS in which participation is sought and/or

b. accept offers of cooperation and compensation made by listing brokers in the MLS.

Does MCRTC MLS offer free continuing education (CE) classes? 

The Martin County Realtors of the Treasure Coast provides Continuing Education (CE) classes, both in-person and online. Agents can review upcoming training and courses by clicking on the Calendar. Agents can also access The CE Shop for additional online continuing education (CE) offerings.

The Martin County REALTORS® of the Treasure Coast (former Stuart Board of Real Estate) was established in 1926.

The city of Stuart is on the Indian River Lagoon in Martin County, Florida. It has a population of approximately 14,000 people and an area that spans about six square miles. A lot of retirees live there, but the school system in the area is excellent, and the plethora of beaches and outdoor activities make it a wonderful home for families as well. The highest point in the state is Lakewood Park, which is just 345 feet above sea level, and the lowest point is where the shore meets the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico 

There are several things to do in Martin County. One of which is the Stuart Heritage Museum. There, you can see exhibits on local history and artisans that were a part of Martin County’s early days. The Indian River Lagoon also attracts tourists because it hosts many species of wildlife such as manatees, dolphins and other sea life! One of the best things about the Stuart area is that there is never a shortage of amazing places and creatures to see and learn about. Another well-loved feature that Stuart is known for is Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. It provides miles of trails that allow you to explore the natural environment and has an extensive collection of wild animals, plants, and trees from around Florida. Stuart is also home to many beautiful beaches such as Sewall’s Point and Jensen Beach. Whether you are on the lookout to learn something new or just chill at the beach, Stuart has got you covered! If you are keen on spending some time in the Florida sun, this is your place to settle. 

The weather in Stuart is generally sunny, with an average of 250 days per year. The summer high is around 95°F (35.0°C) and the winter low is around 65°F (18.0°C). The yearly rainfall in Stuart is around 50 inches (125 cm), and the city receives little to no snow.
